Bakayogo a doubt for in-form Tranmere

Tranmere defender Zoumana Bakayogo is a major doubt for his side’s Sky Bet League Two clash with Grimsby at Prenton Park.
Bakayogo limped out of Friday’s 1-0 home win over Crewe, with Adam Buxton coming on for his first game since mid-February, and he is likely to stand in again should the 32-year-old be unavailable.
Skipper Steve McNulty, defender Liam Ridehalgh and midfielder Kieron Morris are all pushing for returns to a side that has won four straight games to lift Rovers into the play-off places.
Veteran striker Ishmael Miller, who last week headed to St George’s Park to step up his rehabilitation after surgery on a hamstring injury, remains sidelined.
Grimsby manager Michael Jolley has no fresh injury concerns following his side’s 2-1 defeat at Crawley on Saturday.
Jolley is confident Martyn Woolford will be fit despite the midfielder limping off after an hour of his return to action.
Woolford had missed the previous match – a 2-0 home defeat to Cambridge – through injury.
Fellow midfielder John Welsh, who has now missed the last two games, again looks set to miss out, even though he has trained ahead of the match.
