Buffon deal would boost Man Utd
Gianluigi Buffon is set to get another new contract at PSG - and that is good news for Manchester United.
Buffon played against United in tonight’s Champions League clash.
His contract at PSG ends in the summer and PSG are willing to hand him a new two-year deal.
That would almost certainly end their interested in United’s David De Gea, who is unlikely to join Real Madrid either as they have Thibaut Courtois between the sticks.
Real Madrid beaten to Exequiel Palacios?
Real Madrid could be beaten to Exequiel Palacios despite their efforts to scout and sign the midfielder.
Palacios’ agent Renato Corsi says Inter are targeting the player after Real failed to sign him up to a five-year deal in January, which would have earned River Plate £13m.
“There is no closed agreement with Madrid,” Corsi said. “We had many meetings with them, but negotiations didn’t conclude. We were about to finish them but then, just because of this tiny fracture in his fibula, we didn’t.
“Now the topic has gone quite cold. We’ll see what happens. Meanwhile, I can reveal to you I know for sure that the Inter directors are interested in the player.”
Roma scouting Tadic
Roma had scouts at the Bernabeu watching Dusan Tadic last night.
Tadic’s Ajax side knocked Real Madrid out of the Champions League with an emphatic 4-1 win in Spain.
And Calciomercato claim Roma had scouts watching Tadic - who scored and provided two further goals - as well as Donny van de Beek, David Neres and Nicolas Tagliafico.
Ajax signed Tadic from Southampton only last summer for a fee of just under £11m.
Real Madrid want Zidane back
Real Madrid want to re-appoint Zinedine Zidane after the disastrous campaign - less than a year after he walked out of the club.
Zidane quit last summer having won his third straight Champions League title with Real.
El Chiringuito claim Real president Florentino Perez wants the Frenchman back, following their exit from the Champions League last night.
Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte are also out of work.
Icardi latest
Inter Milan are no closer to locking Mauro Icardi down to a new contract, as Real Madrid eye the striker.
Inter are aware that there will be a two-week window in the summer when Icardi will be available for £100m.
The Italians want to scrap that clause in his contract but Icardi is demanding a pay rise as an incentive.
Real Madrid and Manchester United are linked with the Argentine, whose wife and agent Wanda Nara left a meeting today having made no progress with the San Siro giants.
Kylian Mbappe to Man Utd?
It could have happened.
Back in 2016 Manchester United wanted to sign Kylian Mbappe when he was still at Monaco.
The board were keen, say the Independent, but Jose Mourinho was not interested.
The manager instead wanted to bolster his squad with wingers - such as Chelsea’s Willian.
Sadly for Mourinho, he didn’t land the Brazilian either.
Klopp to Real Madrid?
Real Madrid have discussed the idea of bringing Jurgen Klopp to La Liga.
Spanish newspaper AS claim Florentino Perez held a meeting with the board until 2am last night after Real Madrid’s shock defeat to Ajax.
A number of different coaches were then put forward as possible candidates for the permanent job starting next season.
The names that were mentioned were Klopp, Jose Mourinho, Massimiliano Allegri, Mauricio Pochettino and Joachim Low.
Bale to Man Utd agreement?
Reports in Spain claim Real Madrid think Manchester United have an agreement with Gareth Bale.
OK Diario director Eduardo Inda said: “There is a tremendous anger and in the club he is sure he has closed an agreement with Manchester United, betraying Real Madrid who wanted to sell it to Chelsea to lower the price of the Eden Hazard operation.
“They want to sell Bale for 120 million euros.”
Bale has struggled to impress this season at Real Madrid.
Man Utd want Dybala
Manchester United are readying a £120m move for Juventus star Paulo Dybala.
The Sun claim the Red Devils will move for Dybala if Romelu Lukaku leaves this summer.
United scouts have watched the Argentina striker closely over the past couple of seasons.
And Old Trafford transfer chiefs feel Dybala will take United to the next level and challenge for the Premier League title.
