Two goals from Jermain Hylton ensured Solihull grabbed all three points after beating Eastleigh 4-1 at Damson Park.
Danny Wright got Solihull up and running in the 25th minute with his 10th goal of the season. The striker showed great composure to round Eastleigh keeper Luke Southwood and roll the ball home.
Ten minutes later, Nathan Blissett’s third goal in four games doubled Solihull’s lead. Wright’s header found Blissett who, with his back to goal, scored spectacularly.
Paul McCallum’s goal eight minutes into the second half gave Eastleigh hope with a fine finish past Ryan Boot.
But the visitors’ hopes were dashed two minutes later when Hylton restored Solihull’s two-goal advantage with a back-post tap in.
Hylton scored his second goal 20 minutes from time finding the back of the net with a header.
