TRANSFER NEWS - Updates from Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool as the January transfer window approaches.

Milan want Chelsea deal

Milan are ready to pay £7.1m in January for Cesc Fabregas- rather than signing him for nothing at the end of the season.

That is according to SportMediaset, who claim Fabregas could quit Stamford Bridge once the January transfer window opens.

Express Sport understands Chelsea want to offer the midfielder a new contract, with his current deal expiring.

But the report claims a move to Italy could be on next month - and Milan are willing to stump up the cash now to get the deal done before any rivals swoop in.

Jose Mourinho confident of Real Madrid return

Jose Mourinho is convinced that he will be offered a way out of Manchester United by Real Madrid.

The 55-year-old has been at the centre of United’s dismal start to the season.

The club equalled their worst ever start to a Premier League campaign after seven matches and have continued to underperform.

Mourinho has been on the verge of the sack but it’s now believed he will keep his job until the end of the season.

According to the Evening Standard, Mourinho believes Real Madrid president Florentino Perez would love to work with him again at the Bernabeu.

Dean Henderson warns Man Utd

Young Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has warned his parent club it will be their ‘problem’ if they do recognise his talent.

“All I’m focused on is getting Sheffield United to the Premier League,” he said. “Nothing else.

“That’s my aim this year, the bigger picture looks after itself.

“If they (Manchester United) don’t see what I’m doing, that’s their problem at the end of the day. Cream rises to the top.”

Arsenal to release Danny Welbeck

Arsenal have decided to release Danny Welbeck at the end of the season.

Welbeck broke his ankle in the Europa League clash with Sporting Lisbon in November.

And he is likely to miss the rest of the season meaning he may never play for the club again.

According to The Times, Arsenal have decided against offering him a new deal, despite helping him through the rehab and recovery of his injury.

Barca snub

Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar has repeatedly rejected a move to Barcelona.

RMC Sport claim the centre-back is committed to Inter, despite him catching the eye of a number of top European clubs.

“There are always going to be rumours about a big club looking for you, but Inter are a big club. The fans can relax, I am happy here,” he said.

“I feel that I am improving day by day, as there isn’t a single area where I couldn’t do better. I am not happy with the way I play now."

Fabinho talks amid Liverpool exit rumours

Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has opened up on rumours linking him with an exit to Paris Saint-Germain.

“I was told that there was something in the media, but I have never said that I wanted to leave Liverpool,” he told UOL Esporte.

“I was aware that I would need to have patience and wait for my moment.

“I am happy at Liverpool, I don’t have a single reason to leave.”
