Liverpool are yet to win a trophy under Jurgen Klopp
Liverpool manager Klopp has come under-fire after the Reds saw their Champions League hopes take a major blow on Wednesday night.
The Merseyside giants need to beat Napoli by two clear goals in their final game to go through, having fallen to a 2-1 defeat to PSG in midweek.
Liverpool have been better, though, in the Premier League. The Reds have won 10 of their first 13 matches and, along with Manchester City, are yet to taste defeat.
They are currently two points behind City at the top of the league table - and significantly better than they were last season.
But talkSPORT host Durham has claimed ‘time is running out’ for Klopp to live up to his billing.
He said of the Liverpool boss: “I think time is out running out for Jurgen Klopp.
"We’re still waiting for Jurgen Klopp to win something at Liverpool.
"If they don’t get through this group it is a massive failure and it is down to the decisions he has made.
"There is no reason why he can’t play Trent Alexander-Arnold [against PSG]. No reason at all.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been criticised by journalist Adrian Durham
"That midfield he picked – he wants that to compete against Paris Saint-Germain? Come on!
"They are second in the Premier League, so what? They might go the entire season unbeaten.
"But they won’t win the title because Man City may go unbeaten too and pip them to it.”
Klopp has insisted his Liverpool side still need to develop if they are to win major honours.
"Yes, in specific games we can say that," he said when asked if his attack and midfield were on different wavelengths.
Liverpool were beaten by PSG courtesy of goals from Juan Bernat and Neymar
"But to be honest for me it is quite strange.
"When everything is brilliant and we score goals you always ask about defending and how can we fix that?
"We fixed that, kind of, and it always happens that the first step is it costs you a bit of fluency and creativity. That is a completely normal thing.
"If someone would think about it for one second they would see it is clear, it is logical.
"Now, when we fix that, I can't say in the first moment to the boys: 'But that's not enough offensively'. That would be crazy. We still have to develop, that's what we do."
