Arsenal and Liverpool to battle Barcelona for Polish defender Sebastian Walukiewicz

ARSENAL reportedly face competition from Liverpool and Barcelona for the signing of Polish starlet Sebastian Walukiewicz.
The teenage centre-back has dazzled this season for Ekstraklasa side Pogon Szczecin, impressing in 13 games in the top-flight.
According to the Mirror, the Gunners have sent scouts to watch the defender in action several times this season.
They claim that Unai Emery's men could launch a bid for the Polish youth international in the winter transfer window.
Arsenal's head of recruitment Sven Mislintat is understood to have identified the youngster as the latest player to join the ranks at the Emirates who can blossom under the tutelage of Emery.
But according to Mundo Deportivo journalist Francesc Aguilar, the North London side face a battle on their hands to nab the talented 18-year-old.
Both Barcelona and Liverpool are believed to be monitoring Walukiewicz's situation ahead of a potential January switch.
While it has also been reported that Southampton are in the hunt to land his services.
Despite Walukiewicz's impressive performances this campaign, Pogon Szczecin currently languish in seventh spot in the Polish top-flight.
And as Arsenal look to lure a youngster to England, they face the prospect of losing one, with Julio Pleguezuelo revealing he has offers to join Spain.
