Alexis Sanchez wants out of Man United to join Paris Saint-Germain
ALEXIS SANCHEZ wants out of Manchester United with Paris Saint-Germain his preferred destination, according to reports.
The Times say the Chilean flop is desperate to leave Old Trafford after struggling to settle in the North West and failing to produce on the pitch.
United boss Jose Mourinho has been left scratching his head trying to work out why the 29-year-old - who snubbed a move to Manchester City in January - is a shadow of the player who terrorised Premier League defences in an Arsenal shirt.
Sanchez, on a reported £500,000-a-week, is less than 12 months into his four-year deal and has scored a paltry four goals in 28 appearances.
The forward's agent Fernando Felicevich is on the case looking for an escape route for his client and PSG are keen despite an array of attacking talent in Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe at their disposal.
Sanchez has struggled to settle in the area as he prefers the hustle and bustle of a city centre, as opposed to living in the quiet village of Wilmslow in Cheshire.
When at Arsenal, Sanchez rented a house in North London and also bought a penthouse apartment in the city centre, part of the reason why moving to Paris appeals to him.
The forward, according to United team-mates, has been affected by the break-up of his relationship with Chilean actress Mayte Rodriguez.
Mourinho was aware of the break-up but is of the opinion that his player should be able to put personal issues aside when he gets on to the pitch.
Sanchez cuts a lonly figure at Carrington and has few friends, but gets on with David De Gea, Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku.
Strangely, though, it is believed he rarely speaks to his other team-mates.
Despite four years playing in England, Sanchez’s English is poor but makes himself heard on the pitch constantly demanding the ball which has not gone down well with some in the dressing room.
Privately, Mourinho would have preferred to sign Inter winger Ivan Perisic to provide more balance and better service for his strikers.
United coaching staff have not been happy with his behaviour, answering back to during training sessions.
The Chilean forward respects Mourinho but is not happy he only gives him credit for his defensive work rather than for his contribution in attack.
After being dropped, Sanchez has been handed a reprieve replacing Lukaku in attack and could retain his starting place in the Manchester derby after the midweek win at Juventus.
