Mario Lemina in contention for Southampton
Posted Saturday, October 27, 2018 by PA
Midfielder Mario Lemina is expected to be available for Southampton’s Premier League match against Newcastle.
Lemina was forced off during the goalless draw at Bournemouth because of a minor knee problem, but has been able to resume training.
Saints manager Mark Hughes reported no other fresh injury concerns as his squad look for a first Premier League home win of the season.
Newcastle striker Salomon Rondon is fit for Saturday’s trip.
The on-loan frontman has missed the last three games with a thigh problem, but will return to the squad for the trip to the South Coast.
Ciaran Clark has also shaken off the thigh injury which kept him out of last weekend’s 1-0 home defeat by Brighton, and only fellow defender Florian Lejeune (knee) remains on the casualty list.
