Phil Brown could freshen up his Swindon side to face Bury after being impressed by a number of players handed their chance in the Checkatrade Trophy.
Brown singled out goalkeeper Luke McCormick for praise after he kept another clean sheet in the 1-0 win over Newport, and Brown must decide between him and Lawrence Vigouroux – back from international duty with Chile – for the number one spot.
Kyle Knoyle is banned for the match following his red card at Morecambe last weekend.
Dion Conroy is closing in on a return from a knee injury.
Captain Neil Danns is likely to return to the Bury starting line-up following national team duties.
The veteran midfielder featured for Guyana during the international break and was named as a substitute last time out.
Stephen Dawson and Dominic Telford are also in contention after missing the win over Grimsby with minor injuries.
Striker Jermaine Beckford remains sidelined following knee surgery in December.
