Manchester City midfielder David Silva has announced his international retirement.
The former Valencia star released a statement on Monday.
After 12 years in La Roja he played 125 games, scored 35 goals and won the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and two European Championships, in Austria and Switzerland 2008 and in Poland and Ukraine 2012.
Silva announced: "I'm happy for everything I've achieved, I've lived and dreamed with a team that will always be remembered, and I put an end to a stage full of emotion for all the moments that come to mind, like the figure of Luis Aragonés, a teacher whom we will never forget..."
