Stamford Bridge goalkeeper Courtois completed his £35 million switch to Real on a six year deal on Wednesday night - but only by forcing the move after going AWOL from training at Chelsea.
The Belgian World Cup goalkeeper had made no secret of his wish to move to the Bernabeu, because he wanted to be nearer his two children who both live in Spain.
But yesterday, as Courtois, who won two Premier League titles, the FA Cup and the League Cup in his three year spell at Stamford Bridge, posed for pictures at the Bernabeu, he said:
"Eden is a wonderful player."
"I’d love to play alongside him again and we’ll have to see what happens in the future. If he ends up here one day, that would be brilliant.”
Real earlier this summer were interested in Belgium skipper Hazard, but the £300m price tag Chelsea put on him put a brake on that - and Chelsea are determined not to sell.
Courtois’ words are certain to anger Chelsea fans further - as was his statement when he posed with the Real shirt.
"Today I am realising a dream. This is the best club in the world,” he said.
Eden Hazard has been urged to join Real Madrid by fellow countryman Thibaut Courtois
"I’m coming into a club that has just won three Champions Leagues in a row. It’s important to keep winning all the trophies we can."
"I want to continue to add success to this club’s history. Our challenge this season is to win every title available to us. We’ve got a great squad and I hope I can help the team to keep winning things.
"I received a lot of offers, some better from a financial point of view, but I wanted to come here and importantly, be close to my children.
When there was a firm offer on the table, I was in no doubt. My goal was to come to Real Madrid. Everyone knew that.”
