Richards among Swindon absentees for season opener

Swindon are without key personnel for their home clash with promoted Macclesfield.
Marc Richards is out with a shoulder injury sustained in a pre-season friendly, although the veteran striker might be missing for only one month rather than the two that had been feared.
Kaiyne Woolery (knee) and Chris Robertson (ankle) are also set to be sidelined for several weeks, while James Dunne starts a three-match ban after being sent off in the final game of last season.
Luke McCormick, Sid Nelson, Toumani Diagouraga, Jermaine McGlashan and Michael Doughty could all make their debuts after arriving this summer.
Macclesfield manager Mark Yates will assess a “few knocks” before the Silkmen mark their return to the English Football League after a six-year absence.
Midfielder Callum Maycock is set to make his debut after arriving on loan from Coventry until January.
Former Accrington and York goalkeeper Luke Simpson could also make the squad after joining the club on a non-contract basis.
Harry Smith should feature in attack after being in good goalscoring form during pre-season.
