Alisson to decide on Roma future this week amid Real Madrid and Liverpool links

Brazilian international goalkeeper Alisson wants to decide his Roma future before the World Cup starts amid Liverpool and Real Madrid links.

The Roma star has long been touted with a big move away from the Stadio Olympico and Liverpool links heated up following the Champions League final defeat which saw Loris Karius make two high-profile errors.

Alisson has hinted that a move could happen soon and is hoping his future will be decided before Brazil get their World Cup campaign started on June 17th against Switzerland.

Real Madrid are also thought to be interested in bringing in a new number one stopper with the future of Costa Rican star Keylor Navas constantly the subject of speculation.

Alisson is leaving all negotiations up to his agent as he focusses on the task ahead with Brazil but the goalkeeper is hoping any deal will be with the blessing of his current club AS Roma.

The Brazilian was part of the Roma side that completed a famous comeback to knock Barcelona out of this seasons's Champions League. The Giallorossi were unable to reach the final after losing to one of the sides hotly tipped to sign the 'keeper, Liverpool.

Alisson was speaking to UOL esporte following Brazil's friendly win over Austria.

"What I want to do is get everything worked out before the World Cup," he told reporters.

"To be honest, I left the responsibility for all the negotiations to my agent. If it's not resolved before the first game against Switzerland, then it'll have to wait until after the World Cup.

"My thoughts are 100 per cent focused on the Brazil team."

When asked specifically about the rumours he is going to join either Liverpool or Real Madrid, Alisson replied:

"There are some possibilities and we are working on all of them, together with Roma, always respecting the club. We'll see if anything happens this week."

Alisson is coming off an excellent season with Roma that saw the club finish third in Serie A with the Brazilian keeping 15 clean sheets in 37 league appearances.
