Lionel Messi reveals his best ever goal

Barcelona legend Lionel Messi has revealed which of the many goals he has scored is his favourite.
Since making his debut for the Catalan club back in 2005, Messi has so far made 637 appearances in all competitions while scoring an incredible 552 goals, averaging a goal every 1.15 matches.
Out of his 552 goals, Messi has revealed which one is his favourite strike. Or rather, head.
The Argentina international spoke to reporters (via Sport) and highlighted his headed finish in the 2009 Champions League final against Manchester United in Rome as his favourite among many special ones.
"I don't look at goals for their beauty, but their importance. The best goal of my career was the header in the Champions League final, for what that goal and that game meant.
"I don't have special goals marked out that I'd like to score because for me the special goals are the important ones."
Barcelona won that final 2-0 thanks to a goal each for Samuel Eto'o and Messi, sealing the European title for the Spanish outfit.
Two years later, Messi and Co. outfoxed Manchester United once more, this time on English soil.
With the final taking place at Wembley Stadium, goals from Pedro, Messi and David Villa cancelled out a Wayne Rooney strike to seal two Champions League finals in the space of three years for Barcelona at the expense of Manchester United.
Messi, meanwhile, is part of Jorge Sampaoli's Argentina squad that travels to Russia for the World Cup in Russia, where The Albiceleste take on Iceland, Croatia and Nigeria in Group C.
