Man Utd, Liverpool in contact with departing Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon

Manchester United and Liverpool are in contact with agents for departing Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon.

Tuttosport says United have contacted representatives of the veteran stopper, who is leaving Juventus this summer after 17 years with the club.

PSG have tabled a contract offer, while United and Liverpool are exploring the prospect of bringing him to England.

Buffon initially planned to retire from football altogether at the end of the season but had a change of heart at the start of May and is contemplating offers from other clubs.

"Next week, after two or three days of reflection and serenity, I will take my decision," he said earlier this week.
