The Brazilian Football Association have this evening announced the country's final 23-man World Cup squad.
Russian showpiece
Following the finish of several of European football's top leagues this past weekend, the attention of large sections of football fans the world over have now switched to international matters, with the World Cup set to begin in Russia a month from today.
In addition, the management teams of all 32 countries set to travel to Russia have begun whittling down the number of players whom they will depend on for international football's biggest showpiece.
Selecao squad
While the likes of Argentina and Croatia named their provisional squads for the tournament earlier today, Brazil have this evening gone one better, by naming their finalised 23-man panel.
There are 6 representatives from the Premier League, in the form of Ederson, Danilo, Fernandinho, Willian, Roberto Firmino and Gabriel Jesus.
However, there is no room for either Juventus left-back and Manchester United target Alex Sandro, or injured Chelsea centre-half David Luiz, with Selecao boss Tite having instead opted for Filipe Luis and Pedro Geromel respectively:
