Mitch Rose’s penalty earned Grimsby Town a crucial point in a 2-2 draw against relegation rivals Barnet.
Danny Collins had given the hosts an early lead at Blundell Park, while Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro and Curtis Weston responded for the visitors.
Grimsby found themselves ahead after just six minutes when Collins latched on to Luke Summerfield’s corner and comprehensively smashed the ball into the roof of the net.
JJ Hooper tested visiting goalkeeper Craig Ross with a curling effort shortly after, while Michael Nelson’s header at the other end was well saved by James McKeown.
But the visitors eventually found the target when substitute Akpa Akpro sent a low drive beyond McKeown from the edge of the box to claim a goal against his former side.
Curtis Weston put the visitors ahead with just over 10 minutes remaining when he managed to squeeze the ball home under pressure.
But Grimsby hit back immediately when Simeon Jackson was brought down in the box, and Rose stepped up to earn his side a point from the spot.
