Double defensive blow for Reading

Tommy Elphick and Omar Richards have been ruled out of Reading’s Sky Bet Championship clash with QPR.
The defenders are still struggling through injury, with Elphick stricken by a knee issue and Richards struggling because of a calf complaint.
Forward Danny Loader returns from a successful spell with England Under-18s in time for new boss Paul Clement’s first game in charge.
“I’m confident in the ability of the group to get results. We want the players to show they’re up for the battle and show character,” Clement said.
QPR have been lifted by the return to fitness of forward Idrissa Sylla, who is available for the first time since December after recovering from a calf problem.
Defender Jack Robinson is also in contention having missed the last two matches with a thigh complaint.
Midfielder Josh Scowen has made a full recovery from a viral infection and could feature against the Royals.
Pawel Wszolek, Massimo Luongo and Paul Smyth have returned from international duty unscathed.
