Frankie Kent is back to boost Colchester for their home game against table-topping Luton.
Defender Kent has missed the U’s last two matches with a knee injury he aggravated in the warm-up to the recent clash with Morecambe.
Striker Mikael Mandron is expected to lead the line once again after he reached double figures for the season with the winner at Stevenage.
Doug Loft is a long-term absentee with the shoulder injury he sustained at the end of last year.
Luton have no fresh injury concerns for the trip.
Manager Nathan Jones has a decision to make in midfield, with Flynn Downes returning from international duty with England’s Under-19 side.
Luke Gambin is also available after time away with Malta.
The Hatters currently top the table on goal difference but have played two more games than second-placed Accrington.
