Real Madrid target Eden Hazard has been one of Chelsea's top performers this season
CHELSEA are ready to send Eden Hazard to Real Madrid in order to get a deal over the line for Marco Asensio, shock reports in Spain claim.
Hazard has been one of Chelsea's most consistent performers this season but they're well off the pace set by Manchester City.
They're expected to strengthen in the summer though, with the 27-year-old forming a key part of their plans going forward.
However, the latest reports from Spain suggest Chelsea are open to sacrificing Hazard to get Asensio on-board.
And that interest in talking about Hazard will come as a boost to Real, who are targeting the winger as they plan an overhaul of their own squad.
According to Don Balon, Alvaro Morata has talked Asensio up to Chelsea boss Antonio Conte and owner Roman Abramovich.
And so convinced is Abramovich that Asensio can revitalise Chelsea that he's willing to do anything to get him.
Don Balon claim the Russian billionaire is even prepared to include Hazard in a deal for the Real starlet having chatted to Morata.
Bernabeu president Florentino Perez is opposed to opening talks over an agreement for Asensio though.
Perez has predicted Asensio will have a bright future at Real, who helped dump Paris Saint-Germain out of the Champions League.
And he's therefore ready to put his foot down to keep hold of the 22-year-old, regardless of what Chelsea offer in return.
