Manchester City vs West Bromwich(WBA) - Man City Leroy Sane sits out West Brom clash

Manchester City will be without winger Leroy Sane for the Premier League leaders’ clash with West Brom on Wednesday.

The German has been ruled out for at least six weeks with an ankle injury, joining striker Gabriel Jesus and left-backs Benjamin Mendy and Fabian Delph (all knee) on the sidelines.

The game could come too soon for new defensive signing Aymeric Laporte to feature.

West Brom are waiting on the fitness of a handful of players ahead of the trip.

Jonny Evans and Hal Robson-Kanu have hamstring problems and will be assessed.

Alan Pardew also has other players nursing injuries following the FA Cup win at Liverpool on Saturday night but he refused to name them.

Daniel Sturridge could make his debut at the Etihad, although fellow new signing Ali Gabr in unlikely to be involved.
