Doncaster Rovers vs Bristol Rovers - Baudry and Butler to miss Doncaster clash with Bristol
Posted Friday, January 26, 2018 by PA
Doncaster will be without central defenders Mathieu Baudry and Andy Butler for the home game against Bristol Rovers.
Baudry limped out of the midweek draw at Scunthorpe with a hamstring injury and Butler will be sidelined for at least six weeks due to a knee problem sustained in last Saturday’s draw at Shrewsbury.
Craig Alcock is likely to start at centre-half and teenager Danny Amos could retain his place on the bench.
Midfielder Issam Ben Khemis will be out for up to 10 weeks with ankle ligament damage, while long-term absentees Lee McCullough (knee) and Alex Kiwomya (illness) hope to return to contention next week.
Bristol Rovers striker Bernard Mensah will hope for more action after making his debut as a late substitute in last weekend’s 3-1 victory over Bradford.
Mensah, who joined the club from Aldershot earlier this month, played the last nine minutes as a replacement for midfielder Ollie Clarke.
Manager Darrell Clarke has no fresh injury problems as he looks to extend a five-game unbeaten run which has edged the club six points above the relegation zone.
Defender James Clarke is close to a return from the leg injury which has kept him out since the opening day of the season, while full-back Dan Leadbitter continues to battle a hamstring problem.
