Ter Stegen en route to a Zamora record

Barcelona are dominating the LaLiga table and Marc-Andre ter Stegen is one of the main reasons for their strong presence in the domestic league, the goalkeeper en route to achieve a Zamora record.

The Blaugrana are the team that have scored the most (33) in the competition, one more than Valencia, but the goals are not the only aspect that is shining on the pitch.

Ter Stegen is turning heads with impressive performances, and he has only conceded four goals so far this season.

It's a historical achievement as the club have never conceded such few goals throughout their 87 LaLiga seasons.

To date, their best campaign in terms of goals conceded by this stage of the season was in 1968/1969 when only five had been let in.

The German custodian has become a nightmare for rival strikers, denying all of their efforts.

Only one goalkeeper was so effective by this point; in the 1995/1996 season, Jose Francisco Molina, who defended the colours of Atletico Madrid, had conceded just four goals during the first 13 games.

This isn't the only record that Barcelona can reach in their next domestic match.

If Ernesto Valverde's side beat Valencia, it will match the club's best start in their history; 37 points, with 12 wins and a draw, something that was achieved in the 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 seasons.
