Catalans toy with idea of January move

Following one of the more protracted transfer sagas of the summer, Philippe Coutinho has made clear that he is happy to stay at Anfield despite recent speculation that Barcelona would make a renewed attempt to secure his signature in the winter.
The Blaugrana's outstanding start to the season has left many supporters surprised at the suggestion that a January transfer is on the agenda, although it is incredibly unlikely that Liverpool will be any more receptive to negotiations then than they were in August.
Ahead of Brazil's friendly with England at Wembley Stadium, the Selecao were put through their paces in a training session at Craven Cottage on Sunday afternoon.
Following the session numerous players gave brief sound bites to reporters, Coutinho was no different as the question on his future on Merseyside inevitably came up.
"I'm playing in one of the biggest leagues in the world," he explained to reporters.
"I'm always happy, but for the moment it's important to focus on the national team.
"At the moment I am very happy with my life."
It is difficult to envisage where Coutinho would slot into the current Barcelona side under Ernesto Valverde, especially with Ousmane Dembele set to return after Christmas.
Liverpool are in the midst of an injury crisis of their own, it is worth noting that the Brazilian himself hasn't taken part in the last three Premier League matches.
There were concerns at Melwood that Coutinho was returning to action too early with Tite's squad, however the midfield himself quashed such fears.
"I'm 100% fit and ready for this match," he intimated. "I had an injury and I missed three matches, but I'm coming back now.
"Wearing the yellow shirt is always an honour and I will be honoured to play in this game."
