Liverpool turn to Man City star David Silva as Emre Can replacement

Liverpool target David Silva has been a consistent figure for Man City in his seven years there
The Spain international has been a terrific servant for City since arriving in England from Valencia in 2010.
Pep Guardiola wants to hand the regular starter a 12-month contract extension with his current deal expiring in 2019.
But Silva has been locked in talks with the club all season and not reached an agreement yet.
As a result, The Sun claim Liverpool and Inter Milan are both looking to swoop.
The Reds are said to be closely monitoring Silva's situation as they eye a replacement for Emre Can.
Liverpool's midfielder could well leave next year with his own deal running out at the end of the season.
Can, a long-term target for Juventus, can sign a pre-contract with a foreign club from January if he does not pen fresh terms at Anfield.
With the Germany ace's future uncertain, a move for Silva is being considered.
The Sun add Jurgen Klopp is an admirer and also sees the experienced City man as an alternative to Adam Lallana in Liverpool's team.
Inter, though, would provide them competition as the Italians are also keen on luring him away from Manchester should they qualify for the Champions League.
Any possibility of an emotional return to Las Palmas instead for the 31-year-old has fizzled away as the La Liga strugglers would not be able to afford Silva's wages.
