Manuel Neuer posts update from hospital bed but will miss Bayern Munich's Champions League clash against Celtic

MANUEL NEUER has given fans an update from his hospital bed after having surgery on his broken foot.
The Bayern Munich stopper suffered a repeat of the injury he sustained in April during training on Monday.

But after a successful operation, the German international said he was recovering well and thanked everyone for their support.
Neuer, 31, posted: "The shock was big but I'm again recovering very well from the surgery! ✌🏼 Many thanks to all of your get-well wishes."
Neuer originally injured his left foot during the Champions League quarter-final clash with Real Madrid in April.
Bayern are in the same group as Cetic in the Champions League but Neuer will not be their for the remaining games.
The Bundesliga club take on Paris Saint-Germain next before hosting the Bhoys at the Allianz Arena on October 18.
Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge added: "Manuel Neuer has sustained another injury and we're incredibly sorry for him.
"The operation went perfectly, which is the most important thing for now.
"We and our captain are now looking to the future.
"Manuel will be back to his previous best and available to us again in January."
Sven Ulrich is likely to take over between the sticks for Bayern in Neuer's absence.
The 29-year-old made 12 competitive appearances for the Bundelsiga champions since joining from Stuttgart in 2015.
