Diego Costa did not catch his flight back to London

A ticket was reserved in Diego Costa's name for the JJ8084 flight which left Sao Paulo Guarulhos on Monday and which arrived in London Heathrow on Tuesday, however the player did not board the plane.
This suggests that there has been a recent change of plans.
Chelsea were expecting Costa to return to London and to train with the club's reserves, but his agent Jorge Mendes has been working in recent days to force through a transfer to Atletico Madrid in January - when Los Rojiblancos can once again register players, following their transfer ban - and the hope is that when Costa does return to Europe that he will fly directly to the Spanish capital.
For the moment, though, Chelsea have not agreed to let Costa leave the club without first reporting back after his three-month summer holiday and they may yet send him another boarding pass, with London the destination.
