MANCHESTER UNITED youngster Scott McTominay is due some good luck… after a bird pooed on his luxury Mercedes.

And the teenage star will be hoping lady luck will be shining down when he features for the Red Devils in their Carabao Cup clash against Burton on Wednesday.

The 20-year-old arrived at United's Carrington training ground on Tuesday looking to impress boss Jose Mourinho ahead of their meeting with the Championship side.

A host of first-team players rocked up in their super cars including club captain Michael Carrick driving his Audi Quattro.

Marouane Fellaini is another player hoping to make a statement following the injury to Paul Pogba.

The Belgian kept a low profile in the passenger seat of his car whilst his brother, who can easily be mistaken for the former Everton man, took the wheel.

Mourinho was snapped on the phone in the backseat whilst his chauffeur dropped him off in a Jaguar.

The Portuguese boss will be weighing up which fringe players will be given the chance to stake their place in the first-team on Wednesday night.

McTominay is regarded as one of United's brightest sparks coming through the youth side after making his senior debut last May.

He has yet to feature this season but still has ambitions to match the likes of Marcus Rashford by making a name for himself at Old Trafford.

He said: "It honestly is a dream come true for me to be playing in the first team, and playing against teams like Real Madrid.

"But obviously you just want more and more of that and that is the main thing for my career: to be playing in them big games, in competitive games and just do my best and hopefully see where it takes me."
