REAL MADRID star Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly obsessed with matching the goal tally of Barcelona star Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo has been suspended for Real Madrid in La Liga since pushing Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea in Los Blancos' 3-1 Spanish Super Cup victory over Barcelona last month.
However, having scored in that game and bagged a brace in their Champions League win over Apoel Nicosia, the former Manchester United star already has three goals to his name.
Messi, meanwhile, has found the net eight times in just six games for Barcelona this season.
And Spanish outlet Don Balon says that Ronaldo is obsessed by matching his rival's goal tally for the campaign.
It is no secret that the duo share a competitive rivalry.
Ronaldo and Messi have both shared the Ballon d'Or every year ever since Kaka won it with AC Milan a decade ago.
And the former is expected to scoop the prize again this year after helping Real win La Liga and the Champions League last season.
Don Balon say Ronaldo is hellbent on making up for lost time.

He also has his eyes on the Pichichi award - in recognition of La Liga's best goalscorer.
Ronaldo last won the prize back in 2015.
But, in the time since, both Messi and Luis Suarez have claimed the award.
Ronaldo has, however, won it three times during his eight years at the Bernabeu.
