Luxembourg manager goes absolutely mental at FT of historic draw with France

France have one of the best teams in world football right now and they are only going to get better.

Not only do they possess plenty of stars at the peak of their powers, but they have a whole wave of youngsters that have the potential to make them the greatest side in world football.

However, on Sunday evening, the burgeoning egos of the French national team took a significant hit they will never forget.

France are top of Group A n qualification for the World Cup in Russia next year and assumed control of the group with a 4-0 victory over Holland only three days prior.

However, they are only one point clear of Sweden after their draw with Luxembourg, the 136th ranked side in the world.

Yes, that's right. Luxembourg drew away to France!

Obviously, this is the biggest result in the history of the nation that boasts little over 500,000 people and their manager celebrated accordingly following the final whistle.

France boss Didier Deschamps has a lot to answer for. France's starting XI was a strong one and was worth over £400 million.

It featured the likes of Paul Pogba, Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and N'Golo Kane in the lineup while the Luxembourg XI is worth just a shade over £27k in transfer fees.

Deschamp's was understandably upset with the result and rued the fact his side ruined their good work from Thursday night aganst the Dutch.

"Thursday's result was important but so was getting three points today, so we'll need to fight to the end," Deschamps told TF1.

"The last two games will be decisive. We are in a better situation than we were in June, although we are disappointed tonight."

This undoubtedly goes down as one of the best upsets in history and France were 1/100 before the game to secure the win.
