Jean Michael Seri agent in Barcelona for negotiations

The agent of Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri is in Barcelona for negotiations.

RAC1 says Barca hope Seri is the midfielder to take on the mantle set by Xavi, with the legend himself having made public his admiration for the Nice player.

The deal to take Seri to the Camp Nou is virtually complete, with an agreement in principal over a four-year contract having already been reached.

There remain details to be ironed out between the two clubs and it remains to be seen how the 40 million euros will be paid.

No deal will be completed officially until after the second leg of Nice's Champions League play-off tie with Napoli.
