Real Madrid back in for David De Gea: Joe Hart viewed as No 1 replacement at Man Utd
Joe Hart is Jose Mourinho's first choice to replace David De Gea at Manchester United

JOSE MOURINHO will move for Joe Hart if David De Gea leaves for Real Madrid, reports claim.

Manchester United's star goalkeeper has long been linked with a return to Spain's capital.

The former Atletico Madrid shot-stopper, though, has looked set to stay at Old Trafford this summer.

Madrid president Florentino Perez was initially looking to sign De Gea as a replacement for Keylor Navas.

But the Costa Rica international's performances in helping clinch the La Liga and Champions League titles seemed to have changed Madrid's plans.

United in the meantime have been trying to secure a deal for Madrid striker Alvaro Morata and are close.

Express Sport understands the 24-year-old has told friends a switch is done.

But De Gea's future is now once again uncertain, having moved out of his luxury Cheshire mansion.

And according to The Sun, Madrid are reviving their interest in a deal worth up to £60million.

Should the 26-year-old Spain international seal a move to the Bernabeu, Mourinho also has his replacement lined up.

The Manchester United boss has apparently made it clear to Hart's camp he is the one he wants to fill De Gea's shoes.

Manchester City are looking to offload their experienced keeper, having loaned him out to Torino last term and signed Ederson from Benfica for £35m.

United could yet use David De Gea as a bargaining chip in their ongoing pursuit of Morata.

And despite Hart falling out of favour with United's rivals, Mourinho has a different view of England's No 1 to Pep Guardiola.

The Sun add the Portuguese will attempt to raid City if De Gea goes, with Hart keen to kick-start his Premier League career.

West Ham have been linked with a season-long loan move for Hart, but City have not received great attention due to the keeper's high wages which United could afford.
