Everton join Chelsea and Man City in race for £55m star: Ronald Koeman confident of deal
EVERTON are ready to launch a summer transfer bid for Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk, according to reports.

Everton have entered the race to sign Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk
The Liverpool Echo claim Ronald Koeman will join Chelsea and Manchester City in a battle for the 25-year-old.
The Toffees boss wants a reunion with the defender he signed for the Saints back in 2015.
But Koeman is hesitant to pay the mammoth £55m Southampton are demanding for the in-demand centre-back.
Van Dijk switched to the Wasserman Group agency recently - they also represent the Everton boss.
And Koeman hopes their previous working relationship can convince Van Dijk to move to Goodison Park rather than Chelsea or City.
Everton are keen to add a central defender to their squad this summer.
As well as Van Dijk, Michael Keane and Harry Maguire are also on Koeman’s shortlist.

Ashley Williams has been in superb form for Everton this season but finding a consistent partner for him has proven to be a problem.
Phil Jagielka has struggled with injury and is in the twilight of his career while Ramiro Funes Mori has failed to hold down a starting place.
Everton return to action this weekend when they face Burnley at Goodison Park in the Premier League.
