Mkhitaryan: Much more to come from me

The Armenia international is still adjusting to his new surroundings after making the switch to United from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund during the off-season transfer window.

Mkhitaryan had a less than glamorous start to his career at Old Trafford, being hauled off at half-time in the Manchester derby - his first start for Jose Mourinho's side - and subsequently struggling to break into the first team.

But the 28-year-old playmaker has bounced back to start a further 10 games in the league, while helping the Red Devils reach the Europa League quarter-finals with three goals in six appearances.

Mkhitaryan scored an outrageous back-heel flick against Sunderland on Boxing Day to showcase his sublime talent, but he believes there is much more to come in the 2017/18 campaign.

When asked by United Review if he had got to grips with the rigours of English football, Mkhitaryan responded: "No, not yet. I still have places where I can improve and room to improve. I know myself very well and I am sure than I can do better, and I will do better, because I am confident.

"I know very well within myself I can do more, I want to say that, for next year, I am going to have more goals and more assists.

"Of course, you can improve in every aspect. There is not one side that you can say I am good on it and then I don't have to work on that facet.

"You have to work on every side to your game, in every aspect, because you just have to keep working hard to improve."
