At an event to open his latest business venture, a chain of gyms in Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo has set the record straight on his own fitness routine.
Back when the Real Madrid man plied his trade in England, reports emerged that he did a whole 3,000 sit-ups every day in order to maintain the perfect abs.
"It's not true that I do 3,000 a day, I usually train three or four times a week," Ronaldo remarked. "I do not know if I even reach 1,000 a week."
"The gym is a good place to meet people, I have met many interesting people in them.
"The most important thing to push to the maximum and always to train with intelligence and with great enthusiasm."
