Two Words Allegedly Got Former French President Kicked Out Of Nou Camp

When Edinson Cavani scored that crucial away goal to put Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League hot seat, many, including myself, thought Barcelona were out of the competition. Goodbye. So long. Farewell.

But as well all know by now, Barcelona's produced a miracle and Sergi Roberto's last gasp winner sent everyone into raptures, apart from PSG fans - obviously.

One man who reportedly never witnessed part of the incredible fightback was ex-president of France, Nicolas Sarkozy, who has been accused of being temporarily ejected from Nou Camp after yelling 'Hala Madrid'.

No really.

It is being reported by Radio Catalunya that when striker Edinson Cavani scored to make the tie 3-1, Sarkozy shouted "Hala Madrid!" and was removed by security.

It really is one of the more bizarre stories to come out of this incredible fixture.

Although he was temporarily removed from the stadium, he was eventually allowed back in and witnessed Champions League history.

Maybe he shouldn't have shouted 'Hala Madrid..."

It may be days after the result, but some PSG fans are having a hard time recovering from Wednesday night's stunning 6-1 defeat to Barca.

The performance of German referee Deniz Aytekin has come under scrutiny h, with UEFA allegedly deciding against having him officiate any further matches in this season's competition after he made several controversial calls.

The second penalty awarded to Barcelona, which Neymar converted in injury time to take the score to 5-1, was soft to say the least, especially considering Aytekin had failed to award a stone wall spot kick for Javier Mascherano's foul on Angel Di Maria earlier in the second half. To rub salt into PSG's wounds, Mascherano himself even admitted he fouled Di Maria.

"I made contact with Di Maria. It's obvious it was a foul. I'm not going to lie about it."

As a result of this, a petition has been set up on change.org calling for the match to be replayed.

At the time of writing, the petition has almost 80,000 signatures, more than half of it's 150,000 target.

However, if the creators of the petition are genuinely hoping their actions could sway UEFA into having the match replayed, then we'd like to have a pint of whatever they've been drinking, as it's clearly strong.
