Eric Bailly limped out of his comeback match for Manchester United on Monday night, playing for the club's Under-23 side.

The Ivory Coast centre-back was making his first club appearance of 2017, featuring in the Premier League 2 clash following his return from the Africa Cup of Nations.

However, Bailly was forced off in the 58th minute against Everton Under-23s after taking a knock to his ankle and was subsequently replaced by Tyrell Warren.

Bailly received treatment on the pitch before manager Nicky Butt took him off in what appeared to be a precautionary measure.

The 22-year-old had his ankle taped and was able to watch the remainder of the game from the dugout with Manchester United later confirming the injury was "nothing serious".
