Palermo 1 - 1 Delfino Pescara 1936: Cristiano Biraghi leaves it late to rescue point for Pescara at Palermo
Posted Friday, December 23, 2016 by PA
Cristiano Biraghi's stoppage-time penalty earned Pescara their share of the points from a 1-1 draw with Serie A relegation rivals Palermo.
The east coast club were cut further adrift at the bottom when Palermo took an early lead through Robin Quaison at the Stadio Renzo Barbera. The Sweden winger's searing right-footed drive temporarily lifted the Sicilians to 12 points.
Palermo missed the chance to pull clear when Ilija Nestorovski headed wide in the 66th minute and they were punished as Biraghi equalised from the spot after Giancarlo Gonzalez fouled Gianluca Caprari in the box three minutes into time added on.
