Peterborough United vs Scunthorpe United - Chris Forrester banned for Scunthorpe clash

Posted Friday, April 22, 2016 by PA

Peterborough will be without the suspended Chris Forrester for their clash with Scunthorpe at London Road.

Forrester will serve a one-match ban after his sending-off in the defeat by Barnsley on Tuesday, while Michael Bostwick will not be risked after collecting his 14th booking of the season in the same match.

With Ben Alnwick sidelined by injury, goalkeeper Mark Tyler is set to make his first appearance for Posh since 2008 having joined on loan from Luton.

Michael Smith could return after missing out against Barnsley with a knock, but midfielder Jon Taylor is a doubt.

Teenager Kyle Wootton is hoping to keep his place after scoring the winner in Tuesday's victory over Bury.

The 19-year-old made his first start since December and justified manager Graham Alexander's faith by netting in the 53rd minute.

Regular starter Tom Hopper had to make do with a place on the bench, leaving Alexander with a tough choice to make for Saturday's match.

Jamie Ness has missed the last two games with a calf injury, while Scott Wiseman, Jim O'Brien and Sean McAllister all remain sidelined.
