Brighton vs Reading - Brighton midfielder Beram Kayal could start against Reading

Brighton midfielder Beram Kayal could return to the starting line-up for the visit of Reading.

Kayal was surprisingly left on the bench as the Seagulls were held to a goalless draw by Sheffield Wednesday last week.

Boss Chris Hughton has no new injury concerns but defender Uwe Hunemeier (groin) and midfielder Solly March (knee) remain unavailable.

Skipper Gordon Greer is still awaiting a recall after recovering from a hamstring injury, with Connor Goldson currently being preferred at centre-half alongside Lewis Dunk.

Reading will be without defender Jake Cooper through suspension.

Cooper serves a one-match ban following his red card in the FA Cup defeat by Crystal Palace on Friday night, so Anton Ferdinand is likely to step in.

Midfielder George Evans and striker Yann Kermorgant return after they were cup-tied against the Eagles.

Aaron Tshibola remains sidelined by a hamstring injury.
