Morton vs Queen of South - Luca Gasparotto available for Queen of the South clash

Morton will have on-loan defender Luca Gasparotto available against Queen of the South after he was not allowed to play against parent club Rangers in last Friday's 3-1 defeat.

Alex Samuel is set to return after a knee problem, but Conor Pepper (knee), Frank McKeown (knee) and Michael Tidser (groin) miss out.

Manager Jim Duffy said: "I am pleased with the competitive spirit that the players showed against a very good Rangers side. It was not enough to get us a win, but if we show the same level of endeavour in this game we will have a chance of winning."

Mark Millar is available for Queen of the South, but Jordan Marshall and Lewis Kidd are both battling to be fit after picking up knocks.

A win for the Doonhamers would see them reduce the gap to fourth-placed Raith Rovers to five points, and manager James Fowler is determined that his side secure all three points.

Fowler said: "We put in a far better performance at St Mirren than we had done at Raith in midweek. Unfortunately that did not result in a win, and we know that whilst we are still in the play-off hunt we need to start winning games."
