FC Ingolstadt 04 2 - 1 Augsburg: Ingolstadt stage second-half fightback to stun Augsburg
Posted Sunday, February 07, 2016 by PA
Ingolstadt came from behind beat Bavarian rivals Augsburg 2-1 at the Audi Sportpark.
Konstantinos Stafylidis put the visitors in front in the 14th minute with his first goal of the season, his sweetly-struck volley from 20 yards out flying into the top right-hand corner.
Ingolstadt hit back and only goal-line technology saved Augsburg by confirming that Dario Lezcano's shot had not crossed the line before Stafylidis blocked it.
A succession of headers inside the area culminated in Marvin Matip finally bringing the hosts level on the hour mark and a controversial penalty, awarded for a foul by Ragnar Klavan on Pascal Gross, allowed Moritz Hartmann to score his fifth of the season and earn Ingolstadt all three points five minutes from time.
