Posted Sunday, December 13, 2015 by PA
Greig Spence hit a first-half winner as Cowdenbeath ended a run of two straight defeats with a 1-0 Ladbrokes League One win at Forfar.
Ian Campbell had an early effort for Forfar saved, while Gavin Swankie saw his effort from the edge of the box drift narrowly wide.
But Cowdenbeath went ahead in the 30th minute when Declan Hughes played in Spence and in made no mistake in drilling past Robert Douglas.
Spence saw another effort turned away by Douglas five minutes into the second half as the visitors pressed for a second.
Forfar struggled to create anything after the break as the Cowdenbeath defence held firm to ensure they took all three points.
