Nice scored their first goal in almost 300 minutes of league football but had to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw at Reims.

Valerie Germain's sixth minute goal, netting at the second attempt from Olivier Boscagli's delivery, offered hope to the visitors who were looking to end a run of three winless games.

However, when Vincent Koziello handled inside the area as the final 10 minutes approached, Diego was given the perfect opportunity to grab a point for Reims and duly converted the resulting penalty.

And the hosts almost stole all three point just a few minutes later when Theoson Siebatcheu beat Yoan Cardinale but Maxime Le Marchand headed clear on his own goal line before Reims skipper Aissa Mandi was given a straight red deep into stoppage time.
