Mansfield Town vs Leyton Orient - Mansfield refreshed ahead of clash against Leyton Orient

Mansfield manager Adam Murray has no fresh injury worries after his squad enjoyed a well-earned break last weekend.

The Stags have not played since their 3-1 win over Barnet on November 28 and Murray says the rest has helped his players recover both mentally and physically ahead of the visit of Leyton Orient.

Chris Beardsley enjoyed a cameo from the bench after a stress fracture to the shin and is expected to remain among the substitutes as he strives for full fitness, despite suffering a broken nose against the Bees.

Nicky Hunt (hamstring) is nearing a return but is not yet ready, while Mal Benning (knee) is a way from a return and Luke Jones is being forced to consider retirement due to an ongoing Achilles injury.

Leyton Orient are hopeful leading scorer Jay Simpson can return from an ankle problem after missing the goalless FA Cup tie against Scunthorpe.

QPR loanee Cole Kpekawa was cup-tied, so should come back into contention along with forward John Marquis, who was suspended.

Goalkeeper Alex Cisak has been carrying an ankle problem, but is expected to return against the Stags.

Defender Connor Essam (ankle) has stepped up his rehabilitation, but midfielder Dean Cox has just undergone knee surgery.
