Shrewsbury Town vs Bury - Ian Black fitness concern for Shrewsbury ahead of Bury test

Shrewsbury have fitness fears over midfielder Ian Black ahead of the visit of Bury.

The former Scotland international came off in Tuesday's 2-1 defeat to Doncaster with tight hamstrings.

Boss Micky Mellon, though, is hopeful the 30-year-old can recover in time as Shrewsbury look to hit back from losing six of their last eight games.

He told the Shropshire Star: "We might have a problem with him. That's what happens when you're trying to get the most out of people but we'll see how that settles down in the next 24 hours."

Defender Chris Hussey is rated only 50-50 for the Shakers after missing Tuesday's defeat by Bradford with a calf injury.

Forward Lee Erwin is doubtful due to tonsillitis and defender Danny Pugh is ruled out with an abductor problem.

New signing Chris Eagles, the former Manchester United and Bolton winger, is likely to be included in the squad but may lack the match fitness to start.

Striker Ryan Lowe (calf) is back in training and nearing a return but forward Daniel Nardiello (back) and midfielders Kelvin Etuhu (leg) and Andrew Tutte (hamstring) are still out.
