Queen of South 2 - 1 Raith Rovers: Queens back on form
Posted Sunday, March 15, 2015 by PA
Queen of the South ended their three-match winless run by beating Raith 2-1.
The result moves Queens four points clear of Falkirk, who have a game in hand, in the race for the play-offs.
Lewis Vaughan opened the scoring after nine minutes, tapping in at the back post from Mark Millar's corner.
The lead only lasted 11 minutes as Lewis Vaughan bagged his second goal in as many league games when he ignored cries of handball from the hosts to lash home from inside the area.
Queens stole ahead once more six minutes before the interval when Gavin Reilly poked home from close range for his 13th goal of the campaign.
Reilly could have made the game safe in the second half but was denied by David McGurn in a one-on-one but Rovers failed to mount a late comeback.
