Dumbarton 2 - 1 Raith Rovers - Agnew is spot on for Dumbarton

Scott Agnew's late penalty snatched Dumbarton a 2-1 victory against Raith - and back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

Agnew netted both of the Sons' goals, with Mark Stewart scoring the visitors' equaliser.

Mitchel Megginson and Andrew Graham threatened for Dumbarton, before the hosts saw their early momentum halted by an injury to Jordan Kirkpatrick which saw him go off after eight minutes.

However, the Sons reorganised and Agnew's rising shot gave them a 20th-minute lead, only for Mark Gilhaney to then go off injured before the half-hour mark.

Raith twice came close to an equalising goal late in the first half as goalkeeper Danny Rogers tipped over efforts from Ryan Conroy and Stewart. At the other end, Rovers goalkeeper David McGurn parried a Chris Kane shot.

Stewart's low shot from inside the penalty area levelled things up after 63 minutes but Agnew held his nerve to score from the penalty spot two minutes from time after Ross Callachan had fouled Archibald Campbell.
