Tottenham striker Roberto Soldado ended an eight-month Premier League drought with a strike against Everton. Arsenal favourite Ian Wright was particularly pleased.

As Roberto Soldado slid across the White Hart Lane grass on his knees, you could almost hear the Tottenham fans heave a sigh of relief.

The Spaniard had finally netted again in the Premier League – a drought that stretched back to March against Cardiff City. He looked lively throughout the 2-1 victory over Everton and earned a standing ovation when hauled off for Paulinho on 80 minutes.
