As Roberto Soldado slid across the White Hart Lane grass on his knees, you could almost hear the Tottenham fans heave a sigh of relief.
The Spaniard had finally netted again in the Premier League – a drought that stretched back to March against Cardiff City. He looked lively throughout the 2-1 victory over Everton and earned a standing ovation when hauled off for Paulinho on 80 minutes.
