Chesterfield vs Yeovil Town preview - Spireites missing Evatt

Chesterfield will be without captain Ian Evatt when they try to halt a five-game run without a Sky Bet League One win against Yeovil at the Proact Stadium.

Evatt received his fifth yellow card of the season during the home defeat to Swindon on Tuesday night and the central defender must serve a one-match suspension at the weekend.

With Sam Hird (knee) still not ready to return, Blues boss Paul Cook has only youngsters Charlie Raglan or Jack Broadhead to choose from as cover to partner the on-loan Georg Margreitter at the heart of the back four.

Like Hird, Drew Talbot (groin) is edging nearer to a full recovery but is not yet ready, while winger Gary Roberts needs a couple of weeks off to resolve his recent hamstring issue.

Yeovil will hand a debut to new signing Jordan Clarke when they make the trip.

The right-back arrived on loan from Coventry until January earlier this week and is likely to come straight into the starting line-up as the Glovers look to end a miserable run of six games without victory.

Sam Hoskins has returned to the squad after a loan spell at Barnet and he could also be included in Gary Johnson's squad while the likes of Sam Foley, Nathan Smith and AJ Leitch-Smith will all hope for recalls.

Johnson's men have won just three games all season.
